Whether the project is for a magazine feature, a brochure, or a website update almost every commercial project requires a variety of people shots. The surprises come in how and where to create these images. At times all that is needed is a basic head shot while many times you are asked to photograph individuals or groups in their working environment. Those situations are the ones that will put the photographer’s creativity to the test in how and where to stage and compose the shots, many times with a very limited time frame.

Cameras and equipment are great tools but in doing this kind of commercial photography, experience is probably the most important tool.  Working with your subjects to keep them relaxed and involved in the process, however are the real keys to getting the great shots that your client wants.
